Breast Augmentation

The most frequently performed procedures are used for many different medical and aesthetic reasons. Patients enjoy great looking, natural feeling breasts that are one or more cup size larger after the procedure.

Under the well experienced care of Marjorie A. Reid M.D. whose specialized knowledge and patient success is well known in the field. Her practice is one of extremely satisfied patients who have confidently recommended others, and who themselves have had other procedures from face, body and some non-surgical procedures as well. One popular procedure is her “Mommy- Make Over” for new moms after childbirth.

FULLY CUSTOMIZED BREAST ENHACEMENT

The first step before any procedure is, consultation. Dr. Reid has always practiced this vital extensive pre-operative step to go over every aspect of a procedure, including any known side effects. This one-on-one consultation assures the all of her patients’ procedures are customized for optimal results. To achieve the “ultimate” results with Breast Augmentation a combination with other cosmetic surgery or non-invasive procedures is suggested. An example would be to combine augmentation with a breast lift.

SILICONE GEL AND SALINE BREAST IMPLANTS

The original saline implants, now after the U.S. FOOD AND DRUG ADMINISTRATION (FDA) have approved Silicone Breast Implants, for our breast augmentation surgery procedures. The use of silicone vs. saline the original saline option, silicone offers a softer more natural feel vs the saline filled implant. However more importantly it allows for better sculpting and placement, for an overall more natural look.

GUMMY BEAR BREAST IMPLANTS

Also called Cohesive Breast implants, also known as form stable. This is a newer generation of silicone implant used for breast augmentation.

INCISION TECHNIQUES

The duration for the procedure is one to two hours and is usually preformed with general anesthesia. The incisions are made in inconspicuous places to minimize scar visibility. Most patients experience some soreness around the incision area. This usually passes in a day or two and many patients return to work within a week. Any scaring at the incision will begin to fade after the internal healing process is complete, usually in about two months, and will continue to fade as time goes on.
